Valentine Globe Decorations

Don’t you love cute things hanging from the ceiling?  I do!  I made some Valentine decorations that I just LOVE!!!

Every time I see them a smile breaks out across my face {thank goodness that’s all that’s breaking out}  If you make these with kids, know that it’s super messy, but that’s what kids love!  We’ll be using this method in class to make planets in the Spring.

Supplies:

  • balloon
  • string
  • tape
  • newspaper cut into 1 inch strips
  • white glue mixed with water {about 50/50 ratio}
  • white paint
  • hot glue gun
  • cute cupcake liners
  1. Blow up a balloon to desired size and tie on a string.
  2. Tape down the end of the balloon.
  3. Dip strips of newspaper into the glue/water mixture and layer over the balloon {you are making paper mache}  Cover randomly crossing over the other strips until each section of balloon has about 2 pieces of paper over it.
  4. Once completely covered let dry over night, or until completely dry.
  5. Paint the ball with white paint and let dry.
  6. Using hot glue gun attach cupcake liners to the ball.

SUPER CUTE!  I love it and I already had everything at my house which makes it FREE!
